Finding Anna Elizabeth Bachman: Mysterious Wife of Nicholas Stoltzfus

December 4 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us for this special BHC program!

Rosalind J. Beiler, Ph. D., shares how she conducted research to discover the identity of Nicholas Stoltzfus’s wife, Anna Elizabeth Bachman, who immigrated to America in 1766. Until recently, her full name was unknown. Dr. Beiler also explores the role of German-speaking and Anabaptist immigrants to Berks County. This presentation continues the BHC’s Berks Suffrage Centennial Celebration and is being held in connection with the historic Nicholas Stoltzfus Homestead.
