Fall ’21 Road Ramble
October 9 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Tickets go on sale September 1st!
The Berks History Center (BHC) invites you to participate in our Fall ’21 Road Ramble on Saturday, October 9th, 2021! The Road Ramble is a self-guided driving tour which allows the BHC to return to its past when Mystery Road Rambles were held in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Fall ’21 Road Ramble participants can start at the Berks History Center and ramble through Muhlenberg, Longswamp, and Alsace Townships. The route narrative covers the history of local towns and historic sites such as the Berks History Center, the Reading Fairgrounds, Madeira Air Field, East Penn Manufacturing, the Dryville Hotel, the Mertztown Train Station, and much more.
The Fall ’21 Road Ramble runs from 10 AM – 4 PM and concludes at the William Penn Fire Tower on Skyline Drive where there will be a Pork BBQ fundraiser (additional charge). Food will also be available at the Longswamp Historical Society for purchase.
Event participants will receive a Fall ’21 Road Ramble Packet, including a Road Ramble Tour Booklet, information on our contests, a narrative CD or USB, and a Berks History Center Fall ’21 Road Ramble Participant bumper sticker.
Tickets go on sale September 1st, and cost $35/car for BHC Members and $45/car for non-members.
BHC Members must call the Berks History Center to get the member price. All others can buy tickets online at berks-history-center.
