Junior Historian Camp

Junior Historian Camp is an opportunity for children ages 7-17 to enrich their summer with fun, hands-on learning at the Berks History Center.

Dive into history this summer with hands-on learning at the BHC museum! Join the fun as we commemorate the 150th Anniversary of The Historical Society of Berks County (dba Berks History Center). Activities will include but are not limited to: basketry, baking, butter churning, victrola music, and games popular during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Junior Historians will also have full access to BHC’s museum exhibits including the new 150th Anniversary exhibit and the Hands On History Room, an interactive children’s exhibit that provides a one of a kind historic learning experience!

The Berks History Center’s Junior Historian Camp is held June 18-20, Tuesday-Thursday, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Cost for this camp is $50. Members of the 1776 Club (Berks History Center’s junior historian club) pay only $35.

To register your child for either the Junior Historian Camp and/or the 1776 Club, contact Vicky Heffner, Education Curator, at education@berkshistory.org or 610.375.4375.
