This is something of a culminating event of the borough's year-long centennial commemoration. Yours truly will be on hand to comment on Wyomissing's long and singular history. =============== ================== =============== 2- A 27-minute video DVD has been prepared as part of Wyomissing's centennial observation, narrated by Channel 69 personality MIKE REINERT, a valued member of our Historical Society. Very soon THE WYOMISSING STORY will be available at a moderate cost at the Historical Society's gift shop. In the next News-Bits, details will be provided as to the DVD's selling price....and the cost of mailing for those who receive most Society goods by post. ================== ================ ============== 3- A good many emails were received from News-Bits readers in regard to our last posting, asking whether one must be a member of the Society to attend....and what, if any cost, is involved. Don Miller's talk about his latest book---at 1 pm on Saturday, January 27 at our Historical Society at 940 Centre Avenue---is free and open to the general public. You do not have to be a member of the Society to attend...but we really wish you were! PHOTO: Dr. Donald L. Miller, author and historican
It is my understanding that copies of Dr. Miller's book will be available for purchase and autographing.
