Posted 09-30-2003 News-Bits NOTICE: We sincerely apologize for the multiple copies you received of the latest News-Bits release due to a computer glitch. It's never our intention to dispatch more than one copy of our newsletter at a time. After the original text was completed and dropped into a specially designed "dispatch form," the SEND button was hit. A message-box appeared on the monitor stating that for various reasons, the message was not acceptable and/or could not be sent. As there is no immediate way to see whether the email actually "worked," I waited a few minutes and tried again. Again, the same message appeared. On the third try, the message was accepted and sent. To my surprise, I received three copies, as did you. ======== ======== ========= As the system is set up, we cannot send two different News-Bits releases within the same clock day---so if you ever receive multiple copies of our newsletter minutes apart, realize that a computer glitch occurred. Accordingly, delete all but one, as all will be the same. Those who have been with us for a long time might recall that three or four years ago, six copies of the same message were received one after the other. It hasn't happened since then.
