Historical Society of Berks County Museum

We are pleased to announce the debut of our renovated lower level display areas. A new wheelchair ramp and a new wheelchair lift have been installed to enable total access to our lower level areas for the first time. We would like to thank the Berks County Board of Comissioners for making this project possible. The Early Industry & Craft Room is closed while we overhaul this display area. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

Our more than 20,000 artifacts tell many stories behind the development of the county and we are pleased to share some with you. In addition to the main floor that features exhibits of a particular theme in our Palmer & Meiser Galleries, we have an upper and lower level of displays that interpret our rich history from the Conestoga Wagon to the 1902 Duryea to toys, crafts, and fine arts, all related to our social history. Here you can truly find your past. The museum is fully accessible, a wheelchair or motorized assistance is available upon request.
