If you are not sure of a spelling you can use "wildcards". For example, let's say you where looking for the surname reinhart, but it was sometimes spelled reinhardt. You would enter reinh%t in the search box. This will return all possible spellings of a surname that starts with "reinh" then some characters, then ends with a "t". The percent sign (%) is the wild card. It can be used to replace any character or series of characters you are not sure about. You can place the wildcard anywhere in the search term.
