Junior Historian Camp
Junior Historian Camp is an opportunity for children ages 7-17 to enrich their summer with fun, hands-on learning at the Berks History Center.
This year’s camp theme is “Dig Up Your Roots!” Explore olde tyme activities such as Victrola music, traditional crafts and, for the first time this year, Victory Gardening! Dig even further into the past with a visit to BHC’s Research Library to uncover how archivists do genealogical research. Junior Historians will also have full access to BHC’s museum exhibits including the Hands On History Room, an interactive children’s exhibit that provides a one of a kind historic learning experience!
The Berks History Center’s Junior Historian Camp is held the last two weeks in June, Tuesday-Thursday, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Cost for this camp is $50. Members of the 1776 Club (Berks History Center’s junior historian club) pay only $35.
To register your child for either the Junior Historian Camp and/or the 1776 Club, contact Vicky Heffner, Education Curator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 610.375.4375.
