Using the Points of Interest file for Magellan GPS Units

At this point we will assume that you have downloaded the file for Magellan GPS units (Four_Centuries_Tour.MGLN) and the file is somewhere you can find it.

Connect your Magellan to your PC using the USB cable. Then launch the Magellan Tools program on your PC. The Magellan Tools are on the CD that came with the Magellan.

When Magellan Tools opens you will see this screen. Click on the icon under POIs

This screen will open

Open the browser box on the left and select Desktop or where ever you have stored the Four_Centuries_Tour.MGLN file.

Scroll down the files list and find and select "Four_Centuries_Tour.MGLN"

Press the green arrow that points to the right.

The file name will copy over to the right window and the progress bar will appear.

Finally a box pops open telling you that you have loaded a file into your Magellan. Click on OK. Close Magellan Tools and turn off your GPS. Unplug your GPS from your computer.

The next step is to enable the Points of Interest file on your Magellan GPS. Click here for details.
